LAHORE: Police last night shot and killed two crime suspects in an ‘encounter’ in Sabzazar.

Investigators identified the dead as Asif allies Billa and Arshad allies Faisal of Okara. They were wanted to police in several cases. A police spokesman said the bandits were fleeing after snatching a motorcycle in Hanjarwal area when they were intercepted.

Police said that the same criminals had attacked a police van in 2013 and snatched away five criminals from police custody. The bodies were shifted to morgue.–Staff Reporter

Punjab vocational training calendar

Lahore: The Staff and Teacher Training Institute of Punjab Vocational Training Council has announced the training calendar 2016.

According to the training calendar Staff and Teacher Training Institute will conduct 37 different trainings to principals, admission and placement officers, admin and accounts officers, instructors and lab assistants for quality training.

The basic purpose is to meet the need of the industry as per the technological changes and advancement so that the graduates not only can engage themselves in the local job market opportunities but also can acquire the job opportunities in international job market especially middle east.

The institute will train 988 employees of different vocational training schools of Punjab. The training include solar technicians, electrical home appliances, motorcycle mechanic, machinist, plumbers, Halal butchers, food cooking and kitchen management, embroidery, dress making, domestic tailoring, fashion designing, industrial garments stitching, beautician, refrigeration & ac, auto mechanic, auto electrician and computer hardware and network assistant trades.

Ongoing trainings for employees facilitates employees relation and improved productivity as well as the key purpose of these trainings is to improve effectiveness and enable the employees to learn how to do the job and essentially to keep up with changes to the working and corporate environment.
