25 suspects nabbed

KARACHI - As many as 25 suspects were apprehended during ongoing targeted raids in a metropolis on Friday.

According to Rangers spokesperson, a suspected gangster was arrested during a targeted raid conducted by paramilitary force in Lyari’s Baghdadi area. The suspect was later identified as Yousuf Khan alias Akhtar. According to Rangers spokesperson, the accused belonging to a Lyari gang war was a facilitator in terrorism activities and was also involved in extortion activities.

In another raids, four more suspects were apprehended during noggin targeted raids conducted in Khokhrapar and Malir City areas. The arrested suspects were included Faisal, Lal Buksh alias Babu, Faizan Arsalan and Junaid. Rangers spokesperson said that the suspects arrested were involved in various cases of robberies.

Meanwhile, five more suspects were arrested during raids conducted on a tip-off at Shah Latif area. They were later identified as Bilal, Fazal, Saddam, Mujahid and Shakeel. According to Rangers spokesperson, the suspects were involved in drug peddling. The Rangers also claim to have recovered arms, ammunitions and narcotics from their possession while the suspects were later handed over to the police.

On the other side, Karachi police claimed to have arrested 15 suspects in various raids and operations carried out in different parts of the metropolis.

According to the details, the accused persons arrested were including eight drug peddlers arrested from different localities.

The police claimed to have recovered, 48 bottles wine and huge quantity of illegal substance and hashish from their possession.

Moreover, Monghopir police claimed to have arrested a notorious bandit Shah Agha, and recovered weapons and other valuables from his possession. On the other side, Docks police claimed to have arrested two motorbike lifters while recovered snatched motorbikes and weapons from their possession. Police said that the accused persons were including Majid and Naeem were involved in number criminal cases while further investigation is under way. Pirabad police claimed to have arrested an alleged extortionist identified as Tariq involved in various cases of extortion.
