FIA nicks 60 Pakistanis deported from Turkey

SIALKOT - The FIA arrested as many as 60 Pakistani citizens, deported from Turkey, upon their arrival at Sialkot International Airport here on Friday.

According to local senior FIA officials, the local human traffickers and their agents had recently sent these Pakistanis to Turkey illegally after getting amounts from them. The Turkish security authorities had arrested them for entering the country illegally and later deported them to Pakistan. The FIA has sent the accused behind the bars after registration of separate cases against them. Further investigation is underway, in this regard.

36 CHILD LABOURERS RECOVERED

Special teams of the Sialkot district administration raided various brick-kilns here in the district and recovered 36 children, doing labour at these kilns during e school time. Deputy Commissioner Dr Farrukh Naveed informed the newsmen that owners of these brick-kilns situated in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils were taking forced labour from these children instead of sending to school.

He said that the police have registered separate cases against owners and their managers of these kilns and have been sent behind the bars.
