KAMALIA - JUI-S Provincial Information Secretary Pir Yousuf Bukhari expressed dismay over PTI chairman Imran Khan's decision not to support JUI-S chief Maulana Samiul Haq in the upcoming Senate elections.
Addressing a press conference here at Press Club, he stated that Imran Khan had himself promised to support the JUI-S chief. He said that no good could be expected from a man who went back on his word. He said that Imran Khan had backed off his promise, long time before the conduct of elections.
He stated that the central as well as the provincial leaders of the party had been urging Maulana Samiul Haq to dissolve election alliance with the PTI and promote Difa-e-Pakistan Council to take part in the elections. He claimed that currently, about 40 religious and political parties are with Difa-e-Pakistan Council and many more are ready to join.
"In the wake of new situation, members of the central and provincial bodies will soon be asked to join for a meeting," he said and added "The final decision regarding the election alliance will be made by Maulana Samiul Haq himself."
