KANDHKOT - Kashmore police Friday claimed to have seized and destroyed the forbidden cultivation of cannabis and arrested drug growers. According to Kashmore police spokesman, police party was led by SHO Miyani Ali Anwar Brohi on tip off destroyed the cultivation of cannabis in village Imam Bux Bangwar. It was cultivated more than on one acre.

Kashmore Police Senior Superintendent Bashir Ahmed told to The Nation that police initiated a crackdown against social elements across Kashmore. He said that Miyani police succeeded in destroying cultivation of cannabis approximately 132kg and arrested two drug growers namely Imam Bux Bangwar, son of Jarro Bangwar and Gelo, son of Kehar Ali, while case was registered against them on narcotic act.

War against drug should be continued till the menace is eradicated from the district, he added.
