Rawalpindi - Rawalpindi Cantonment Board on Friday approved various development schemes during a meeting held in the chair of Station Commander Brig. Shahzad Tanveer.
According to RCB spokesman, Vice President RCB Malik Munir Ahmed, Cantonment Executive Officer, Dr Saima Shah, elected and nominated members were present on the occasion.
The meeting discussed various agenda items including monthly income, expenses, property tax and water charges recovery and approved medical treatment bills of RCB employees and their family members, extension in the contract period of temporary employees including doctors and teachers, five property transfer cases, 92 residential and seven commercial building plans.
The meeting also discussed several development and water supply projects, forming a committee to amicably resolve CB Schools merger cases, reclassification of piece of land for graveyard, purchase of plants to beautify different cantonment areas, imposition of heavy fines on food outlets supplying low quality food items to residents and other projects.
Giving details the spokesman said, various development projects to facilitate the area residents were approved.
The spokesman informed APP that RCB on the directive on Dr. Saima Shah have purchased a new excavator at a cost of Rs12.50 million which would be used for cleaning of nullahs.
The excavator would help save huge amount being spent annually to pay rent to clean nullahs.
