People aging 65, above to be vaccinated in March: Asad Umar

National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) chief Asad Umar said on Wednesday, that the registration of coronavirus vaccination for senior citizens i.e. individuals who are 65 or above years old will be initiated by the upcoming week.

Taking it to Tweeter, Asad Umar said that people who have already registered to receive Covid-19 vaccinations jabs for next week will be vaccinated in the beginning of March. 

Moreover, the Health authorities across the country had confirmed they will get 6 to 7 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca’s AZD1222 vaccine by the end of the on-going month, which will be utilized to cure the remaining front-line health workers along with the 65 years and above old age group of the population. 

According to the sources, due to lack of data authenticity the Chinese vaccine is not recommended for people above 60 years of age across the country.
