Karak docs out of hospitals

KARAK -  The hospitals of the district remained closed on Thursday as a protest after clash between local media persons and doctors. Only emergency treatment was available to the masses. The young doctors association decided on Wednesday night for three days protest and the people faced severe hardships here on Thursday due to the strike of the doctors. The local journalists also held a meeting with the senior journalist Muhammad Nawaz Khattak in the chair and condemned doctors' act of violence.
They formed five members committee comprising Nawaz Khattak, Shafiuddin, Riaz, Arif and Haleem Bukhari and the committee would analyse the situation emerging after the clash between the local journalists Abidur Rehman and Sajjad Usman with the Surgeon Dr Rizwan Khattak and others in District Headquarters Hospital Karak.
The committee would evolve future line of action for the journalists to cope with the situation in a better way. The meeting said that journalists were the mirror of the society and would not bow before the negative tactics of anyone. They resolved to fight for their rights and go to every extent for it.
Meanwhile, the young doctors association and paramedics association also held a meeting on Wednesday night. They decided that all the hospitals of the district would remain closed as a protest and only emergency facility would be provided to the masses.
