PML-N MPA disqualified

SWAT- An election tribunal here on Thursday disqualified Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) member of provincial assembly, Qaimoos Khan, and ordered re-election in his constituency, PK-86, Upper Swat.
According to details, the tribunal presided over by Justice Shah Jee Rahman Khan accepted an election petition filed by a rival ANP candidate, Dr Haider Ali Khan, former MPA. Qaimoos had won the May 11 general elections from PK-86 by securing 10,600 votes against 10,028 of Haider Ali.
The petitioner Haider Ali Khan claimed that Qaimoos had done rigging in the recent general election as a result he lost the election while after long term procedure the election tribunal Thursday disqualified PML-N MPA Qaimoos and ordered re-election in the respective constituency.
Earlier, re-polling was ordered in four polling stations for women in PK-81 Swat-II after the election tribunal received an application providing proof of mass rigging on election day.
When contacted, Qaimoos Khan said that his documents and evidence were strong but the decision was unbelievable.
