MARDAN - Hundreds of female and male teachers of Mardan district held a protest meeting at Government Girls Higher Secondary School No 2, and took out protest rally against the provincial president of All Pakistan Clerk Association (APCA) on Thursday.

Sources said that on Saturday last, District Education Officer (Female) Zuhra Begum was busy with a meeting in her office when Aurangzeb Kashmiri, who is an employee in construction and works department od Mardan and president of APCA, got in, and used abusive language and threatened her.  The sources added that she wrote an application to local police for registering a first information report (FIR) against Kashmiri.

They added that on the complaint of Zuhra Begum, the police registered an FIR against Aurangzeb Kashmiri under section sections 506, 156 and 342. The sources added that the motive behind his act is that his brother named Zahir Ali is employee in the abovementioned office and the female officer stopped his salary. They added that after registering the FIR against APCA president, the  police started raids to arrest him, however Aurangzeb escaped while police arrested his father Sheikh Mir, brother Zahir Ali, and got registered an FIR against them under section 212 .

Sources added that Aurangzeb get bail before arrest from Peshawar High Court (PHC). Sources added that later on after the incident some high-ups and elders of the district started struggle to make compromise among the APCA president and female officer but their efforts haven't succeeded yet. Sources added that on Thursday hundreds of female teachers of Mardan district arranged a protest meeting and also took out rally and blocked Bacha Khan Chowk as protest and demanded of the government to take strict action against the APCA president and immediately transfer him from Mardan.

Inspection

Deputy Commissioner Haripur has started raids on educational institution to check the attendance of teaching staff and know about their problems.

According to the sources, DC Nisar Ahmed Khan has chalked out a programme to pay surprise visits to educational institutions to check the attendance of teaching staff and know the issues and problems of these institutions and help them for their solution. In that regard the DC paid surprise visits to three schools within last two days, which included Government Primary School Mohara Mahmdu, Middle Girls School Pharhari, and Government Boys High School Pharahala.

However during the visit of all teaching staff in all three schools was present. The DC inspected the schools and knew the problems and issues of the institutions.
