Martyred constable’s family gets new house

LAHORE - SSP Rana Ayaz Saleem on Tuesday handed over keys of a new house to the family of a police constable who died in the line of duty last year.  Constable Moazzam Ali was among several policemen who died during a suicide bomb blast on Lahore’s Ferozpur Road. Officials said the welfare initiative is part of the “package” approved by the government for the police martyred.

SSP Ayaz Saleem handed over the keys of the new house to the family of the constable during a simple ceremony held at the CCPO office to acknowledge the services of police heroes.

On this occasion, SSP Ayaz Saleem said that the brave police officers who died while fighting criminals and terrorists are in fact an asset of the Lahore police department. The officer also directed the staff of Welfare Eye to keep in touch with widows of police officials to ensure timely help and assistance.  The cases related to financials assistance for police officials and their families are being completed within a short span of time through the Welfare Eye (SMS), he said. The family members of martyred constable Moazzam Ali appreciated the efforts of Lahore CCPO Muhammad Amin Wains for providing them all possible help and financial assistance.
