Mehran Express to be relaunched in Feb

MIRPURKHAS - Pakistan Railways Divisional Superintendent Ajaz Buriro has announced that in the first week of February Mehran Express train will be relaunched its services between Mirpurkhas to Karachi via Hyderabad, as technical and political hurdles in its relaunching have been removed. He was talking to the local media persons as well as delegation of Mirpurkhas citizen forum led by Nasir Iqbal, Faisal Khan Zai, Moiz Ahmed and Haroon Khatri at railway station Mirpurkhas after his arrival for inspection purpose here on Tuesday. He sought help of local notables, elected representatives for removing corruption in its services as all the passengers should be ensure having tickets for their journey.

He said that preparation has been finalised in this regard and we would fulfill very soon old demands of people of this region. It may be recalled that trains services were suspended in Sindh province particularly when unknown armed persons had damaged the railway properties and bogies after the assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in 2007.

A body was recovered from a water course while a married woman attempted suicide by drinking petrol in taluka Kot Ghulam Muhammad on Tuesday.

A body of a man was recovered from a water course near Kot Mirus. The body was shifted to taluka hospital Kot Ghulam Muhammad where he was identified as Jani Khaskheli, 45, resident of Kot Mirus.

Besides, a married woman Kavita, wife of Dileep Meghwar, resident of village Ashfaque Bhatti attempted a suicide by drinking petrol over domestic affair, resultantly her condition was deteriorated and she was referred to civil hospital Mirpurkhas due to her serious condition.
