Security beefed up after Quetta blast

KARACHI - The provincial home minister and Inspector General Sindh had directed the concerned officials to beef up security in the province in the aftermath of Quetta blast incident near Balochistan Assembly that claimed six lives including policemen. Provincial Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal directed the police officials to take strict security steps across the province.

The minister condemned the Quetta blast and said that they would defeat the enemies of the country with joint efforts and will not be afraid from their terror activities.

In another statement, Inspector General Sindh Police, Sindh Allah Dino Khwaja directed concern police officers to strict security measures in all districts and police zones across the Sindh. He directed to improve snap checking and police patrolling in their areas and speedup intelligence based actions against criminals.

He also directed to take extra ordinary and concrete security measures around sensitive places, installations, public places and worship places of minorities.

The police officials are also directed to take proper security arrangements outside the Sindh Assembly whose session would begin from today.
