UoG young entrepreneurs eye long-term success

GUJRAT - Student entrepreneurs nurturing their startups at the Business Incubation Centre (BIC) of the University of Gujrat (UoG) are confident their innovative business ventures are worth their while and viable for long-term.

The projects by all 15 BIC teams were critically analyzed by renowned experts at the Final Quarter Term Review 2018 organised by the business training centre at Hafiz Hayat Campus on Tuesday.

The BIC had selected 15 teams of UoG students with innovative business ideas last year for self-business training after a tough competition among 350 teams.

Entrepreneurial training being part of modern higher education system, the UoG has set up a state-of-the-art Business Incubation Centre  to train its students how they can excel in their startups and prepare themselves for the various challenges in practical life. They learn how to become responsible members of the society while continuing their academic journey.

The experts at the Final term review included CEO iManager Tosheeba Sarwar, CEO GOAL Ibrahim Ahmad, Manager External Linkages Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) Shahzada Muhammad Babar, Director Student Services Centre (SSC) Muhammad Yaqoob, and Expert BIC Muhammad Haider Meraj.

The experts closely examined all the startups and provided useful suggestions regarding business design, development, utility, launch, and marketing.

Haider Meraj said that the BIC-UoG follows modern trends in education, providing the youth with the most conducive environment to discover and strengthen their potential skills.

“We nurture young minds so that they could become responsible member of the society and play their vital role in community welfare and national development,” he said.

We need to step up efforts to teach our students the value of being resolute in their ambition or goal in life.
