LARKANA - Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister are responsible for the 22 person’s deaths in Murree and FIR should be registered against PM Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister.
He said this in a statement emailed to journalists here on Sunday by his spokesperson Shakeel Memon. Khuhro said despite warnings of bad weather and heavy snowfall, the federal and Punjab governments did not take any precautionary measures to face any emergency situation. He further added that Prime Minister Imran Khan instead of acknowledging the governmental and administrative failures in Murree, was blaming the victims for the deaths which act was condemnable.
Khuhro said, ‘The Prime Minister’s blaming of those who died in the snowy season in the Murree tragedy shows his mental inferiority and Prime Minister should reply to the nation that despite the warnings of heavy snowfall why precautionary steps were not carried by the government to face any emergency adding if the government was incapable of taking precautionary measures, then why the roads leading towards Murree were not closed and why the people were allowed to enter in Murree,’ he questioned.
He said that on the one hand the federal ministers were declaring people’s crowd in Murree as economically stronger and on other hand Prime Minister Imran Khan was holding the tourists responsible for the tragedy which is why federal government should stop making fun with nation.
Khuhro asked ‘why the government did not put all the concerned agencies on high alert including the machinery to deal with the emergency situation when there was advance notice of heavy snowfall in Murree? This is a complete failure of the federal and Punjab governments, he added.
PPP leader said In Murree, so many people lost their precious lives and people got into trouble due to the failure of the government, but the federal ministers kept laughing at the press conferences and making fun of the nation adding soon the country and the people will get rid of this incompetent and failed rulers’.
Khuhro said the long march led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will start from Mazar-e-Quaid on 27th February to send the PTI government home and thousands of people from Sindh will join the long march caravan which will go ahead to Lahore and then Islamabad.
He said arrangements for the long march will be finalized at the party’s Sindh Council meeting scheduled to held today.
