LAHORE - Staff of the Estate Management and Enforcement Directorates of Lahore Development Authority retrieved a total of 88 commercial plots worth billions of rupees in Gujjar Pura Housing Scheme, after a massive crackdown against land grabbers on Friday. As many as 60 plots in block B1 of Gujjar Pura scheme, each measuring 10 marlas and bearing serial numbers from 40 to 100, were salvaged by LDA staff which had been under illegal occupation for years. Another 28 plots with number from 1 to 28, were got back in block C1 of the scheme as well. Each of these plots also measured 10 marlas. Illegal occupants had unlawfully established makeshift huts, boundary walls and other structures at these pieces of land.
