Chief of his own faction of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Mian Nawaz Sharif said he cherishes the free media as much as he likes independent judiciary in the country, report said on Saturday. In his statement issued here, the PML-N chief urged his party leaders to take up such steps as could guarantee the freedom of press, so that unity and solidarity among the democratic forces of the society could be created and a way forward could be forged with hands in hands in cleansing the society of corruption. The PML-N chief added everybody would have to develop fortitude to put up with the positive criticism.
