LAHORE - Pakistan now needs trade not aid as Pakistan have lost a great deal of time and money for playing frontline role in the war on terror being the friend of USA. Therefore, it is now desired that USA should support Pakistan to achieve its economic prosperity and self-reliance. Vice President SAARC CCI and Founder Chairman Pak-US Business Council Iftikhar Ali Malik stated this while addressing a farewell ceremony as Chief Guest for Brian D Hunt Political Counsellor of US Embassy Islamabad held here in Lahore. Iftikhar Ali Malik appreciated the services of Brian D hunt and said that he also served as Principal Officer of the US Consulate Lahore for almost two years and during his tenure he dedicatedly served the cause of Pakistan and USA. He further said that USA must play its due role to normalise the relations between India and Pakistan who are both the nuclear powers and their issues must be settled smoothly for the peace and prosperity in the region. It is important to note here that Brian D Hunt has been promoted as Deputy Chief of Mission to Tanzania and will leave Pakistan this week. On this occasion Brian D Hunt thanked the business and trade community of Pakistan and its leadership for the confidence that was placed in his personality to resolve the issue and thanked all people of Lahore particularly the Ulemas and other religious clerics for their guidance.
