LAHORE Rifts among officials in the Pakistan Cricket Board have started deepening with former captain Javed Miandad now criticising PCB chairman Ijaz Butt for ruining the career of Younus Khan. Miandad, also the PCB director-general cricket, said in an interview that he was fed up with the prevailing situation in the board where Butt was running a one-man show. How can I keep quiet when wrong decisions are being taken and the board is bent upon wasting the career of a player like Younus Khan? he asked. Miandad, a veteran of 124 Tests, didnt attend Thursdays governing board meeting, prompting Butt to pass some sarcastic remarks in the press conference. Miandad said he didnt go to the meeting because of prior commitments and he had already informed the board about his intentions.
