PTA hosts Telecom Consumer Forum

ISLAMABAD (PR) - The PTA hosted Telecom Consumer Forum at Quetta to create public awareness about the joint efforts of PTA and the telecom operators for the consumer rights protection, says a press release. State Minister for Industries and Production Dr Ayatullah Durrani was the chief guest for the ceremony, which was presided over by Chairman of PTA Dr Muhammad Yaseen. SEVP PTCL Sikandar Naqi represented the fixed telecom sector at the ceremony. He also shared the measures initiated by PTCL for the safeguard of consumer interests and addressed the challenges involved in fixed telecom operations. Sikander Naqi, SEVP, Corporate Development representing PTCL, discussed the complete range of PTCL services and informed that the company business processes had been redesigned to ensure customer focused operations. The PTCL has initiated the nationwide renovation of its cabinet network infrastructure, which will significantly improve the quality of voice and data services. Special Rapid Response Units have been established to ensure swift fault rectification for the valued corporate clients. He further added informed that PTCL has significantly improved the quality of its call centres through system automation and extensive trainings of customer support representatives. One stop shops and customer support centres have been established across all the major cities that offer all PTCL services under a single roof. The manpower today is equipped with latest tools.
