MANDI BAHAUDDIN - DCO Mohammad Ameen has called on all EDOs and districts officers to dispense their duties with national spirit in order to materialise dreams of our forefathers. Weve all kind of resources and talent to resolve all problems and nothing lacks except zeal and national spirit, which the nation needs utmostly today, he said. Addressing annual meeting of nation-building departments heads on the conclusion of fiscal year here on Saturday, DCO said, our homeland was achieved after 5 lakh human sacrifices and it is our duty to turn Pakistan into an Islamic Welfare State. On the occasion, the DO Agriculture disclosed that wheat crop this year yielded 32 maund per acre and the Forest Department planted 14,19,500 saplings during the plantation campaign. The DO Livestock apprised the meeting that 8 lakh animals were vaccinated and 635 cattle farm were registered. The EDO Works informed the meeting that 98 per cent of the development schemes had completed. EDO Education Khalid Goraya told that admission of 98 per cent children in the district had been ensured and 15 teachers had been suspended from their services on account of negligence and absence. DO Enterprises Kashif Aqeel told that 356 cooperative societies were functioning and 16 free meal points (daster-khawan) were operational in the district.
