Writer Ian Halperin has been writing a tell-all book about Lady Gaga, and one of his revelations is that the star is starving herself for her career. Halperin told Star Magazine: Those who have worked with her on tour reported to me that Gaga barely ate for weeks at a time to fit into her costume. She is sick and obsessed with her weight. Oh, so you mean, shes a woman and shes counting her calories? Gasp If this is the most exciting thing in the book, I think Ill just go back to watching TV. One friend told me Gaga will stare at herself in the mirror for hours on end, analysing and critiquing her body. Its an unhealthy obsession. It is unhealthy, but thats just what women do. You can look like Megan Fox and youre still going to hate something about your body. Halperin also claims Gaga has sampled every drug available. Her drug use started young. Gaga has admitted her drug use in 2005. Halperin also discusses the fact that Gaga tested borderline positive for lupus in 2010. Gaga revealed this in June 2010, but was showing no symptoms. Halperin says her lupus is far worse than she lets on. Part of the reason she wears wigs and make-up is because her hair is falling out and shes covered in red blotches, both side effects of the disease. HS
