LAHORE - All Parties Conference (APC) on terrorism called by the government will prove fruitless without implementing the proposals of the moot, remarked Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed.

He was talking to the media on Tuesday at Mayo Hospital after enquiring about the health of Old Anarkali bomb blast victims.

He said: “Calling an APC on terrorism will not serve the purpose but ensuring implementation on its proposals will be a true reply to the issue.”

Mehmood said that tragic incident of Old Anarkali and kidnapping of the law enforces by the outlaws in Rajanpur depicts the complete failure of the provincial government on law and order.

He said the Punjab Assembly session should be called immediately to discuss the law and order situation in the province.

The provincial opposition leader said that a package of Rs2 billion for Ramzan was a serious joke with people of the province.

Mehmood submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly against the military intervention in Egypt and an adjournment motion against the kite-flying in the city that killed six people.

PML-Q MPAs Amir Cheema and Samina Khawar Hayat submitted an adjournment motion in the provincial assembly, calling for the details of government’s failure in Rajanpur.
