Bad blood, mishaps kill 16 separately

JHANG/SARGODHA/KANGANPUR-At least 16 persons including two minors and four women were killed and five others injured in separate incidents of violence, honour killing and mishaps over the past 48 hours.According to detail, in JHANG five people including three women of the same family were killed in an accident on Jhang-Shorkot Road near Rodu Sultan, some 25km. The deceased identified as Khadija Mai, her young daughters - Sania and Raheela, Farhan Ali and car driver were killed on the spot when a speeding truck hit the car they were travelling in. Three others including Falak Sher, his two minor sons - Saad Ali and Farhan Ahmad sustained serious injuries and were shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad. The 18-Hazari Police registered a case. In another incident one Mazher Shah, a resident of Thathy Alchi in Shorkot was murdered by three brothers - Baqar, Sharif Ahmad and Mulazim Hussain on suspicion of having illicit relation with their sister. The Shorkot Police have registered a case and started investigation.  In another incident one Tanveer Muhammad, a resident of Waryamwala jumped into TS Link Canal and died. In yet another incident one Ali Hasnain, a resident of Shah Jewna was killed on the spot when he was hit by a speeding tractor. Whereas a man identified as Shahid Ali committed suicide by poisonous pills over a petty family dispute. He was the resident of Mauza Doiha of Shah Jewna.In SARGODHA, three people including two minors were electrocuted in rain while two brothers died in roadside accident.  According to details, 10-year-old Osama and eight-year-old Junaid were bathing in rain along with their mates at Government High School Bhalwal. All of the sudden both Osama and Junaid received fatal electric shocks after touching a naked wire accidentally. Resultantly they died on the spot. In other incident 3-year-old Akhtar Nawaz touched an electric pole and received heavy blow of electric wave, killing him on the spot. Meanwhile a recklessly driven truck crushed two brothers to death. The deceased identified as Sajid and Abid were riding a motorbike. The mishap happened on Sargodha-Lahore Road near village 82/NB. In KANGANPUR, a youth shot his sister dead on a petty dispute in suburban village Mokal situated in the Kanganpur Police precincts the other day. Muhammad Sadiq reported to the police that he had gone to Nankana Sahib with his wife and his daughter 20-year-old Khadija and son 17-year-old 17-year-old Nasir were alone at home. In the meantime, both the sister and brother had argument over some issue at which Nasir opened fire on his sister. She sustained gunshots and was rushed to hospital where doctor pronounced her death. The police have registered a case against accused on the report of his father. In another incident unidentified armed assailants gunned down a man here on early Tuesday morning. According to police, two motorcyclists opened fire on a man identified as Abbas Ali at Taragarh Chowk, killing him on the spot.The body was shifted to DHQ Hospital for medico-legal formalities.The police suspected that the incident could be the result of personal enmity.
