MULTAN-Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has acknowledged that the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was not good but the provincial government adopted all out measures to improve the situation. Talking to the journalists here on Tuesday, Hashmi added that the solution to all problems including terrorism lied in dialogue. However, he claimed that the chances of success of All Parties Conference convened by the government were bleak, although Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi would represent PTI in it. To a query on new provinces, he said that his party was in favour of creation of new provinces in the country. He added that the creation of new provinces was need of the time and the rulers should take steps to fulfil this important need of the country. Answering a question, he said that the government did not consult PTI on the issue of appointment of new chairman NAB. He said that handing over Gwadar to China was a very good decision. “The objections of the US or any other on handing Gwadar to China are pointless. Entire region will benefit from this project,” he added.  When asked about his party’s stance on London police’s interrogation of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, he said that he could not say anything as the investigation was underway in UK.NURSES PROTEST: The female nursing staff of Nishtar Hospital continued their protest against misconduct of Nursing Superintendent.They also have warned to close emergency wards and outpatient clinics against the government’s failure to meet their demands. The protesters complained that nursing superintendent has also cancelled their allotment in hostels without any justification. They also shouted slogans against their senior officer and demanded of high ups to issue transfer order for nursing superintendent; otherwise, they would continue their strike against her.
