BAHAWALPUR-The district police finalised a comprehensive security plan to maintain peace and tranquillity and avert any unpleasant during the holy month of Ramazan.According to details, under the plan effective deployment of police personnel will be made at more than 472 mosques which have been categorised as 56 mosques are placed in category A, 55 mosques in category B and 361 mosques have been placed in Category C.Similarly more than 1,000 police officials with the help of 1500 volunteers will perform Ramazan security in the district. Similarly a control room will be established at the District Police Office which will work round the clock and will report to the Regional Police Office on security situation after every 2 hours.Likewise effective security measures have been chalked out for the security of 453 mosques and 8 Ramazan Bazaars besides other public places in district Rahim Yar Khan. Under the Ramazan deployment, 1837 police officials, volunteers and mosque committee members will perform duty while 168 security personnel will guard Ramazan Bazaars.Meanwhile, Punjab Cooperative Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar chaired a meeting regarding security and other arrangements for Ramazanul Mubarak here at DCO office.On the occasion, he directed the officer to make the foolproof security arrangements during the holy month and ensure police personnel’s deployment during Namaz-e-Taraveeh.He said that all the assistant Commissioners should supervise the Ramazan Bazaars in their respective tehsils and ensure provision of water, electricity, medical and other facilities at these bazaars.The minister also directed making special arrangements in Ramazan Bazaars to eradicate motorcycle and cycles lifting. He pointed out that to maintain smooth flow of traffic before Iftar the traffic Police officials should be deployed in bazaars.
