DERA GHAZI KHAN/GUJRANWALA-Seven persons were killed and eight others injured in rain-related incidents occurred separately here on Tuesday, officials said.As per detail, in GUJRANWALA four persons of a family including father, his son, uncle and nephew died roof of their mud-made-house caved in at Zafarullah Colony near Ferozewala due to torrential rain early Tuesday morning. Eight family members also injured in the incident of whom a minor has been referred to Mayo Hospital Lahore due to his critical condition. As per details, Nadeem was hosting some guests from his in-laws at his mud-made- house in the suburban area of the city. All of them were asleep under open sky previous night but early morning rain forced them to gather inside the 3-marla house. All of sudden its roof caved-in and the entire family along with guests buried alive under the debris. Following the incident villagers rushed to the scene and started rescue activities. Resultantly, Nadeem’s daughter 4-year-old Alishba and 10-year-old nephew Zain Ali, Nadeem’s father-in-law 50-year-old Abdul Majeed and his 7-year-old son Haider Ali died on the spot while his wife Fazeelat, their two sons Hassan and Hasnain and four others Ghulam Dastgir, Maffya Bibi, Haider Ali and Bilal, aged between 7 to 14 years, were injured and hospitalized. Hasnain’s condition is stated to be critical and was referred to Lahore for further treatment. It has been learnt that Nadeem is a daily-wager and his in-laws as well as his own brother’s family were staying at his home due to summer vacation. None of the administration visited or helped the aggrieved family till the filing of this report.Meanwhile, three people were buried under debris when roof of a dilapidated house collapsed at Machhiwala area of Dera Ghazi Khan.The Rescue 1122 and locals pulled out the bodies from under the rubble. Officials said rain was caused of fall down of mud-build house.
