PESHAWAR - At least six people were shot dead and 13 others injured when two rival groups opened fire at each other during a jirga in Kurram Agency on Wednesday.
According to details, a jirga was underway to settle a land dispute between two rival groups in Gaidur area when they opened indiscriminate fire on each other after exchanging hot words.
However, the Kurram Agency political administration confirmed only three casualties in the incident.
Independent sources said that most of them were in critical condition.
The dead bodies and injured were shifted to agency headquarters hospital in Parachinar for treatment.
