KARACHI : The Federal government withdrew its appeal to review ex-Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani’s bail in Sindh High Court. FIA had submitted a petition against the approval of Gilani’s bail on Monday at the Sindh High Court. Deputy Attorney General, Aslam Butt, forwarded the petition at the Sindh High Court requesting to withdraw the petition filed earlier.  The stance maintained in the plea states that the previous petition to review the bail was filed without the consent of the Law Ministry emphasising that the approval of the Secretary Law is obligatory to file any petition, by the law.
The petition can, however, be reverted on the orders of the government.
