It was refreshing to see the Sri Lankan Security Staff marching to their stations, within the Paley Cricket Stadium and being very alert. How I wish our police had a similar bearing and carriage, while on duty, in our streets and other places instead of not only walking slovenly but even loitering. There is an old army saying, “To judge the morale and the battle worthiness of a unit, just look at the turn out and the bearing of one of its soldiers, while he is out of his unit lines.” Well done, Sri Lankan police.
