Feel sorry for not attending Edhi’s funeral: Imran

LONDON - Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that he feels much sorry for not attending the funeral prayers of great philanthropist and renowned social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi.

Talking to media persons after his arrival at London Airport on Saturday, Imran Khan said head of Edhi Foundation Abdul Sattar Edhi was the only person who helped him in laying foundation stone of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.

The PTI chief said he arrived in London to meet his beloved children who were the most precious asset of his life due to which he was unable to chalk out program for attending funerals of Edhi.

He said Maryam Nawaz remained engaged with PM office in absence of Premier Nawaz Sharif while Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif’s son used to attend CPEC meetings wich was unjust and unlawful.

Imran said PM Nawaz should keep in mind that they would be brought to court of justice and opposition parties will soon chalk out strategy in this regard.

He said prime minister considers him as emperor but in democracy all should have to be accountable for their deeds and answer about their mandate.

The PTI chairman said that PM Nawaz spent public money on his treatment abroad and money earned through corruption was transferred abroad via money laundering.

He said issue of bringing PM from London back to home through special PIA flight would be raised in court. Issue of spending huge some of public money for treatment and using special plane for arriving back will also be raised by moving petition in court.

“Has the PML-N not found any alternate of Nawaz Sharif in last 30 years to head the party in case of any emergency and in his absence,” Imran Khan questioned.
