LAHORE: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that sit-ins will not be needed if Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) resolves Terms of Reference (TOR) issue.
Addressing the party leaders at his office here on Sunday, Chaudhry Sarwar said that the government was compelling the opposition for protests due to their stubbornness and unfortunately, rulers have become problematic for nation. Government was implementing policy of promotion of corruption instead of eradication of corruption; he said adding that PTI is fighting the war to protect the country.
The former governor Punjab further said that the rulers were abstaining the accountability and it is right of the opposition to compel them for initiating accountability in country. PML-N articulated fabricated dreams before election but now have become problematic for country, he maintained.
Government must start self-accountability instead of criticism, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said adding that it was quite evident that opposition will not go for protests and sit-in if government resolves ToR issue but betterment and maturity were not expected from the incumbent government.
