LAHORE - PTI leader Chaudhary Sarwar has stressed for the need for accountability of ruling class before the general elections.

In a statement issued from PTI Lahore office yesterday, Punjab’s former governor said the ruthless and impartial accountability of politicians, bureaucrats and other ruling elite was necessary before holding next election. “We must stop the corrupt mafia to be elected in next election. They loot the national exchequer mercilessly after reaching in assemblies,” said Sarwar.

He said the PML-N should resolve the issue of Panama leaks and present Prime Minister and his family for accountability. In case of PML-N’s resistance for holding an impartial inquiry into the Panama issue, he warned, the all opposition will be in streets and start a joint movement across the country against the government. He also asked for establishment of a powerful and impartial election commission in the country.
