Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has announced to contribute to the construction of Diamer-Basha and Mohmand Dams.
Posting on his official Twitter account Afridi wrote, " I pledged RS0.5 million from my side and RS1 million from my foundation the Shahid Afridi Foundation."
Afridi also requested the nation to play their part to pave the way for the coming generations of Pakistan.

The former cricketer appreciated the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar's effort for setting up the fund for the construction of dams.
Justice Saqib Nisar himself donated Rs1 million to the account. Earlier today officers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government have announced a contribution of their three-day salary to the fund for the construction of Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams.
On Monday, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor announced that the officers and jawans of Pak Army, Navy and Air Force would contribute with their two days and a day's pay respectively, to the construction of the dams.
