Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi, on Saturday, said that Pakistan is trying to unite the decision-making forces of Afghanistan.
While addressing a press conference in Multan, FM Qureshi said that the government of Pakistan is in direct contact with Taliban and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
He said the government aims to unite all decision-making forces together and discourages any course of war.
He said, “We do not want Afghanistan to fall prey to civil war.”
FM Qureshi said that the deterioration of peace in Afghanistan can affect trade in Central Asia. He added that he would visit Tajikistan on Sunday where he will raise concerns about the Afghan war's impact on Tajikistan’s economy.
