LAHORE - Sindh Saints and Balochistan Zorawars on Friday won their respective matches in the ongoing National U-23 Football Championship at Kunj Football Ground, Abbottabad. In the first match, Sindh Saints beat Islamabad Kings 3-0. Two teams fought well and were engaged 0-0 at the end of scheduled times. The decision of match was taken on penalty kicks and Sindh Saints won the match 3-0. Rizwan Ilyas, Noman Baloch and Muhammad Norman scored one goal each on penalty kicks for Sindh Saints. Players of Islamabad Kings could not score on penalty kicks. In the second match, Balochistan Zorawars defeated Khyber Eagles 2-1. The match was locked 1-1 at the end of the first half. Sheraz Khan struck one for Khyber Eagles while Zohaib Ayub equalised the score. In the the 86th minute, Shaikh Muhammad scored the match-winning goal for Balochistan Zorawars. Former Secretary, DFA, Abbottabad Tariq Mahmood was the chief guest.
