LAHORE - Livestock Secretary Naseem Sadiq and SPI Insurance Company Chief Executive Mian MA Shahid signed an accord that would ensure the distributed animals among the widows and poor women.
It was expressed through a press release which further highlights that the SPI insurance would also compensate for those animals which would be stolen. The agreement would be effective till 2017-18.
The secretary said that on the direction of CM Shahbaz Sharif, the department had distributed 1,750 buffaloes and 1848 goats and sheep among the needy people free of cost. He further said that the department would further distribute 18000 buffaloes and 36000 goats. He said that the responsibility would lie with the department to treat the animals. The SPI chief also appreciated the CM Shahbaz efforts for ensuring such a poor friendly policy.
