This is with reference to a news item I saw in newspapers according to which some intellectuals have moved a resolution to rename the Lady Wellingdon Hospital as Maryam Jinnah Hospital as a token of appreciation for Mr. Jinnah's wife's contribution to the Pakistan movement. That would be bad. We have already gone too far in the drive to delink ourselves from our past by renaming cities, roads and institutions. -DR USMAN M. MIR, Lahore, via e-mail, February 21.
