TARBELA GHAZI - An 81 years old farmer of Ghazi was kidnapped for ransom whereas the car of the kidnapped person Farman Ali Jee bearing registration No B-3069 was recovered from Bandi Syedan village, some eight kilometer from Ghazi which they left there. According to details, a renowned farmer of Ghazi Farman Ali Jee, 81, went to his fields situated on Ghazi Hamlat Road, some two kilometers from Ghazi on Friday evening. When he did not return home till late night then his son Muhammad Javed tried to contact his father on his mobile phone but an unknown person attended the mobile and told M. Javed that his father was in their custody and they would again contact him and disconnected the phone. Last night the culprits contacted the family of Farman Ali Jee and demanded Rs 5 million as ransom within three days. Ghazi Police after registering the case formed a team headed by sub-inspector Fakhar Zaman for recovery of the kidnapped farmer. The public and social circles of the area have also demanded of the government to immediately recover the farmers and the kidnapper should be given exemplary punishment. Meanwhile, a protest rally was held by Ghazi Bar Association, Anjaman-e-Tajran, Ghazi, and representatives of Ghazi Press Club and members of civil society against the kidnapping of a renowned farmer of Ghazi tehsil Farman Ali. The protester were holding placards inscribed with slogans against the incident and management. They walked from TRO Chowk to Khalo Chowk.
