KARACHI Nur Ali, Pakistans internationally acclaimed race car driver, is all set to compete at the upcoming Texas Motor Speedway on April 16 at Fort Worth, Texas - USA. He will compete in the Rattlesnake 150 ARCA Racing Series race driving the Chevrolet stock car prepared by DGM Racing, according to information available here on Tuesday. Nur Ali has previously competed five times in the ARCA Racing Series. Prior to setting his sights on a career in stock cars, he spent several years competing internationally. Nur was the driver for Team Pakistan in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport during the 2006-2007 season. He spent eight seasons competing in the Star Mazda Series held in USA. Nur Ali, who has raced in 12 countries, is also the first and only professional race car driver competing in the global arena from Pakistan. This is a dream that will come true, said Nur Ali. I have been living in this area for the last 27 years and this will be the first attended race for many of my family and friends. For much of my career, the only way for them to see me race was to watch it on TV. I expect to have at least 500 guests in the grandstands cheering me on, he further added. Nur will get his first taste of the Texas Motor Speedway in a stock car on March 9, when he participates in ARCAs official test day. He plans to use the day to get comfortable with the unique characteristics of the speedway. Nur further commented, Every track is different and it doesnt matter if they are all 1.5 mile ovals as each track has its own unique attributes. This test will give me the chance to learn the track and develop a better relationship with the team. I plan to be as prepared as possible on the race day.
