ISLAMABAD - Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi had a telephonic conversation with his Australian counterpart Stephen Simth on Tuesday. According to a press note released from Foreign Office, both the Foreign Ministers expressed satisfaction over growing bilateral ties especially in the fields of education, agriculture and health as well as cooperation in counterterrorism. Reiterating his invitation, Smith expressed the hope that Qureshi would be able to visit Australia soon. Both sides expected concrete outcomes from the Qureshis visit. He welcomed the recent foreign secretary-level meeting between India and Pakistan in New Delhi and expressed the hope that the meeting would lead to resumption of dialogue process. He also expressed sympathy over the terrorist attack in Lahore on Monday last, which claimed many innocent lives.
