Karachi A four member Pakistan tennis team which won its Davis Cup Asia Oceania Zone II contest against host Hong Kong returned home on other night. Talking to the media on his return Pakistans ace star Aisamul Haq who won three matches in the best of five rubbers against Hong Kong hoped that Pakistan would be fully prepared to play at home its next match of the cup against New Zealand in coming July of this year. He hoped that Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) would prepare a strong case to play its contest at home against the Kiwis instead of shifting it to a neutral venue or to New Zealand which have expressed reservations to play in Pakistan due to security reasons. He said there was an example when the host country India was given a walk over after Australia refused to play its Davis cup tie in Chennai, India for security reasons and hoped that Pakistan would also be given a walk over if New Zealand refused to travel to Pakistan to play here. Instead of shifting the fixture the International Tennis Federation (ITF) awarded walk over to India. He hoped that the ITF should also decide to retain Pakistan as host venue despite New Zealands reservations and in case the Kiwis refuse to come, Pakistan should be awarded a walk over. However, he added the PTF should take a stand which would be beneficial to Pakistan.
