After winning three matches, Pakistan lost the match against New Zealand. Pakistan chasing for the first time in the on going World Cup were all over the places and once again Pakistan openers failed miserably in playing efficiently. In bowling, Pakistans performance was up to the mark until last 6 six overs which cost 114 runs. Kamran Akmal who missed three chances against Sri Lanka, once again missed three chances as he dropped Ross Taylors catches when he was on 8. From here onwards, Taylor went on to score unbeatable 131. Pakistan team management should change this batting line up as it is not working at all and as openers have failed to score. Pakistan must send Abdul Razzaq as an opener and in place of Ahmed Shezad/Mohammad Hafeez, the team can play with extra bowlers. Imran Khan and most of the former cricketers, experts are saying that this combination is not right for the big matches as when openers will fail, middle order batsman will feel pressure. When an extra bowler will be in the team, it will give good chance for the captain to attack as till now Abdul Razzaq and Mohammad Hafeezs bowling has not been effective. I think for Karmran Akmal team management cant do anything. The only chance which can be taken is that; Umar Akmal can be tried since as he has done wicket keeping in past.
