KARACHI - Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh President, Shahi Syed, on Wednesday demanded of the political and religious parties of the province to support Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza for the durable peace in Karachi. Shahi Syed in his statement said that ANP had realised the problems being faced by the Sindh government but ANP would not allow the conspiracy to repeat the time of dictatorial regime. He demanded of the Sindh home minister to immediately give an in-camera briefing to the political parties of the province because owing to the political pressures he was not in a position to openly disclose the culprits behind violence in Karachi. He said that in-camera briefing to take the political forces into confidence would foil the conspiracies of anti-democratic forces. The ANP Sindh President demanded of the government to grant unlimited powers to Sindh home minister for maintaining peace in Karachi. The repeatedly threats to derail the democratic process by the anti-democratic forces was unacceptable, he said.
