ISLAMABAD The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) has uncovered a fake fertilizer company operating in a suburb of capital secretly and seized huge quantity of raw stuff and machinery being used to produce urea fertilizer on Wednesday. According to details, an anonymous application was received by CIA, which hinted at the functioning of the fake fertilizer company near Dhok Juma at Badana Kalan, the area of Tarnol. Following this application, SP (Investigation) Tahir Ayub directed policemen to look into the matter and book those involved in this illegal business. A special team under the supervision of DSP CIA (Investigation) Muh-ammad Shafiq was constituted which also included Sub-Inspector Zulfiqar Ahmed, Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Altaf and other police officials. This team obtained the search warrants from the concerned court and raided the place and recovered huge amount of raw material and machinery used for producing fertilizer. This factory was being run by Malik Saeed, Javed Qadri and Sabir Bhatti. It was established near a brick kiln and completely covered with sheds and high walls so that no one could see it. During the raid, police succeeded to arrest eleven persons identified as Liaqat Ali, Aamir Shahzad, Asghar Khan, Muhammad Bashir, Muhammad Shahid, Khuda Buksh, Kaleem Ullah, Ghulam Hussain, Abdul Ghaffar, Shaukat Ali and Dost Muhammad. A case has been registered against them at Tarnol Police Station. Police team has been constituted to arrest others persons and further investigation is underway from the nabbed persons. It has been also revealed that he fake fertilizing material was supplied to various districts of Punjab and Sindh from there. IGP Islamabad Wajid Ali Khan Durrani and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan appreciated the performance of the police officials.
