KARACHI (APP) - The National Tsunami Warning Centre of Pakistan has warned that an earthquake recorded with magnitude of 7.3 near the East Coast of Honshu, Japan, on Wednesday morning holds the potential to trigger local tsunami. It is not known that a tsunami has been generated so far, said the duty seismologist at the NTWC of Meteorological Department. The tsunami watch bulletin released by NTWC, he said, was based on the earthquake evaluation and on basis of historical data the quake could create wide spread impact. The earthquake had depth of 70 kilometres and latitude 38.59 north and longitude 142.91 east.
