Notice to private exchange company

LAHORE- A consumer court on Wednesday issued notice to Regional Manager of Habib Qatar Exchange International Pvt. Ltd for March 19 in a suit seeking payment Rs.3,962,000 for allegedly providing ill services to the complainant. The complainant Muhammad Imran had filed a petition in the court contending that Habib Qatar Exchange International was engaged in exchanging business under license of State Bank of Punjab. He informed the court that he gave two cheques of Rs. 1,100,000 to the branch situated at Itemad Building Davis Road, for purpose of TT in Italia, of his clients manufacturer. He said that he also paid Rs. 312,000 for the purpose of sending TT of the said amount in Italy. He told the court that when they (complainant party) inquired from Habib Qatar, the manufacturers came to know that the respondents were unaware about the status of the TT. He implored the court that his client was import based company and owing to defective services of the respondent party had damaged his clients good-will in the market causing him huge financial loss also. He prayed the court to direct Saleem-u-Rehman the regional manager, Nair Yousuf CEO, and Ejazur Rahman general manager of Habib Qatar Exchange International to pay Rs.1,000,000 as mental torture, Rs.1,500,000 as business loss, Rs. 1,412,000 original payment. Upon complainants pray the court issued notice to respondent for March 19,2011 to reply the court.
