Apca demands rise in salaries

NOORPUR THAL - A meeting of All Pakistan Clerks Association (Apca) was held here on Friday under the chair of its organiser Malik Haji Abdur Rehman Saggu. Addressing the clerks, he and other Apca leaders said that skyrocketing prices of edibles and other daily-use items crushed salaried class. “It has become almost impossible for the worker class to make both ends together in their existing salaries,” they added.
They demanded the government to announce raise in their salaries in proportion with the price-hike, “otherwise Apca will be forced to give a country-wide strike call,” they warned. CLEANLINESS WEEK IN THAL: Cleanliness week is being observed in Noorpur Thal and it will continue till March 15, 2012. According to TMO Raja Zahoor Ahmed, two teams were working in the city. The sanitary workers were working in different mohallahs of city, he further said.
