KARACHI – Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) and United Bank Limited (UBL) won set-up final showdown in the National One-day Cup Division II here on Friday at different venues.
Playing at National stadium, KRL defeated favourites Lahore Eagles by eight wickets after Zain Abbas hit up an unbeaten 105. UBL defeated Quetta Bears by nine wickets at the NBP cricket stadium. Lahore Eagles, after being sent into bat, scored 219 for nine in allotted 50 overs. In reply KRL finished with 220 for two with three overs to spare.
In other semi-final, Saad Surkhail with an unbeaten knock of 84 and an unbeaten half century from M Sami helped UBL to achieve 193 runs target for loss of one wicket in 38.4 overs to defeat Quetta Bears.
