SADIQABAD - The nation’s youth can play a pivotal role for the progress and prosperity of the country, said speakers while addressing a seminar titled ‘Launching Report’ organised by Sangat Foundation.
On the occasion, MNA Javed Iqbal Warraich said that the foundation had proved its patriotism by establishing ‘Dia District Youth Assembly’. The parliamentarian added that it would help provide constructive thinking to the youth and solve the problems being faced by the society.
Earlier, Foundation Agriculture Director Zahid Islam said that the foundation’s purpose was to promote the nation’s youth, linking the country’s prosperity to their activeness.
On the occasion, DOC Chaudhry Amjad Basheer said that the foundation had provided the good platform to the youth and added that it would make them capable for development of the country by participating in positive activities.
The moot was also addressed by PPP leader Barkat Bajwah, DO (Social Welfare) Ghulam Yaseen, JUI’s Riaz Noori, Mirza M Ameen Advocate, Sangat Coordinator Ramzan Advocate and District Bar Association former president Hasan Nawaz. The speakers mentioned that the young people had played a vital role in the Pakistan Movement, urging them to step in national affairs again. They termed ‘Dia’ a very good way for the youth to tap their capabilities and skills for social development.
Later, former Youth Assembly members Safia Rasheed, Irfan Ali, Muneer Ahmad, Shahbaz Safdar and Raheel Tariq addressed the participants and pledged to make an all-out effort to steer the country out of crises by putting her on the right track. The meeting was also attended by DO (Agriculture) Javed Iqbal, Farooq Laghari and Rana Iftikhar Rasool among others. At the conclusive session, the MNA and the former DBA president on behalf of the foundation distributed prizes to the former district youth assembly’s office-bearers and members for their outstanding performance.
